Sirach 11:28-30

²⁸ Praise thou not any man before his death; for why a man is known in (or by) his sons.

²⁹ Bring thou not each man into thine house; for why many treasons be of a guileful man.

³⁰ For why as the entrails of stinking things break out, and as a partridge is led into a trap, either (a) net, and as a capret is led into a snare, so and the heart of proud men; and as a beholder [or the for-looker] seeing the fall of his neighbour.
